About The Position

Giants Baseball & Softball Camps is hiring Camp Counselors & Coaches to work with young campers ages 4–6 across the Bay Area. This role is ideal for educators who love working with young children and want to spend their summer outdoors, active, and making a positive impact. As a Camp Counselor for ages 4–6, you will help create a safe, structured, and engaging environment where young campers are introduced to baseball and softball through age-appropriate games and activities. No advanced sports experience is needed as training and curriculum are provided.

Requirements

• Experience working with children ages 3–6 (required)
• Reliable transportation to camp locations
• Ability to pass a background check
• Commitment to scheduled camp weeks

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a preschool teacher, daycare teacher, or early childhood educator preferred
• Background in early childhood education, child development, or teaching is a plus
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Patient, energetic, and nurturing personality
• Reliable and dependable

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage campers ages 4–6 in small group settings
• Lead age-appropriate games, activities, and basic sports instruction
• Ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
• Support camper social development, teamwork, and confidence
• Manage transitions, routines, and group behavior
• Communicate positively with campers, parents, and staff
• Collaborate with Site Director and fellow counselors
