Camp Coordinator
About The Position
Provides direct supervision of the Day Camp Counselors as well as children at the seasonal day camp site. Creates positive, nurturing relationships with children, while building cooperative relationships with parents/caregivers. Promotes and supports the potential of all youth in programs and facilitates peer to peer connections as part of the overall camp experience. The Day Camp Site Coordinator will have a passion for working with youths and children and shall be a leader and role model for the staff they work with, the children in the programs and the community we serve.
Requirements
- Minimum of 30 college credits or 2 years of childcare experience in a school age setting.
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to plan, organize and implement age appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities
- At least 21 years of age
- CPR/AED/First Aid certifications and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual preferred but not required
