About The Position

Woodward Tahoe is a year-round action sports facility seeking Camp Coaches to foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for learning, and a desire to include everyone in the action sports community. Camp Coaches are responsible for campers throughout the full day, including meal and activity times. This role may specialize in Parkour, Scooter, Skateboard, BMX, or MTB, and may also introduce Multi-Sport campers to action sports basics.

Requirements

• Action sports experience required
• Honest and has the highest integrity
• Follows all established policies and procedures
• Can handle fast paced, potentially high-pressure environment
• Flexible with hours and days of work; can work any hours of the day, any days of the week
• Organizes tasks and prioritizes personal time and work to have a good balance
• Background check
• 2 references

Nice To Haves

• Current CPR and first aid certification preferred
• Experience working with younger children preferred
• Summer camp experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop caring relationships with campers and help provide the best camp experience
• Provide high quality instruction for safe skill progression and a fun learning environment
• Communicate with medical staff regarding injuries and special needs
• Participate in recreation activities with enthusiasm and encourage campers to do the same
• Check-in arriving campers each day and be aware of all procedures
• Assist with daily check-out of campers
• Maintain a positive attitude and arrive to shifts on time
• Uphold highest standard of professionalism in appearance and behavior at all times
• Behave in a manner appropriate to our youngest campers (5 years old)
• Other duties as assigned
