About The Position

This position is responsible for: Provides childcare services for the staff’s children, including personal care, hygiene, learning and development activities, and specialized programs.

Requirements

  • Ability to meet attendance requirements.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
  • Some physical requirements of the Camp Childcare position include endurance, such as climbing, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching.
  • Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity are essential for performing manipulative activities.
  • Requires a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/programs, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Have a willingness to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours delivering a program at the available facility.
  • Operate in daily exposure to the sun, heat, and varying environmental conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with children preferred, OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification

Responsibilities

  • Provides care to staff children throughout the day, ensuring they have partaken of meals and maintain proper personal hygiene habits.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the childcare property.
  • Assists with putting staff children to bed, as needed.
