About The Position

The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium is seeking a part-time Camp and Family Programmer to join their Education Department. This role focuses on facilitating Summer Camps, preschool programs, and parent/child programs, while also supporting other educational programming within the department. The organization has a long history of educating, inspiring, and providing enjoyment to the community and offers a fun work environment.

Requirements

  • Up to 2 years of completed college coursework.
  • Experience leading classrooms or teaching in an informal education setting preferred.
  • Background and experience in animal sciences, education, environmental or natural sciences a plus.
  • Must be 18+ years of age or older.
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
  • Pre-employment screening and background check are required.
  • Must be able to pass a drug-free workplace screening, including marijuana.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading classrooms or teaching in an informal education setting.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating programming in the Toledo Zoo’s Education Department, with a focus on Summer Camps, preschool programs, and parent/child programs.
  • Supporting educational programming in any area of the education department.
