About The Position

The Camera Framework Tooling team in Camera & Photos provides software tools to enable photo/video data collection, image quality assessment and tuning, imaging algorithm development etc. We also work closely with the Camera Framework team. The Camera Framework team is at the heart of the camera capture stack, and provides the camera foundation APIs and underlying real-time multithreaded media pipeline powering clients like iOS’s built-in Camera application, thousands of third-party applications, and even AR-based experiences. As an engineer working on the Camera Framework tooling team, you'll be developing Camera Software tools based on the Camera Capture API. You will also be working side-by-side with the world-class engineers that built iPhone’s camera to what it is today, and build new great camera capabilities spanning the universe of Apple devices. Requirements

  • 0-3 years of software development experience.
  • Excelled in relevant coursework in computer architecture, collaborative software engineering, algorithms, and/or computer graphics.
  • Proficient in Objective-C, C, or C++.
  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

  • Understanding of real-time systems behavior, concurrent processing, and performance- and memory-sensitive environments.
