About The Position
Boone Memorial Health is looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Call Center Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for many of our patients, helping schedule appointments while delivering exceptional customer service. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or medical office setting.
- Medical terminology knowledge required or must be obtained within six months of hire.
- Strong computer, keyboarding, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment.
- A positive attitude and commitment to providing an exceptional patient experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with scheduling, insurance verification, or electronic medical records is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and assist patients with professionalism and compassion.
- Verify insurance information and obtain required authorizations.
- Communicate with providers, clinic staff, and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure patient information is handled confidentially.
- Provide outstanding customer service while managing multiple priorities.
