Call Center Representative (Behavioral Health)
About The Position
The Behavioral Health Call Center Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients seeking behavioral health services. This position provides compassionate, patient-centered customer service while scheduling appointments, processing referrals, managing incoming calls, and assisting patients in accessing appropriate behavioral health resources. The representative must communicate with empathy, maintain confidentiality, and effectively support patients who may be experiencing emotional distress or behavioral health concerns. The position is full-time, 80 hours per pay period (1.0 FTE), with day hours that vary as scheduled.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and professional when interacting with individuals experiencing behavioral health concerns.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the care team.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum one year of medical office, call center, behavioral health, or customer service experience preferred.
- Experience working in a behavioral health or mental health setting.
- Crisis Intervention training or certification.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
- Experience with Epic or other electronic medical record systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
