Erdos Miller is seeking a Calibration Technician to initialize, calibrate, and functionally test Measurement While Drilling (MWD) tools for the oil and gas industry. Requirements

Must have reliable transportation.
Proficient knowledge and experience in handling mechanical and electrical assemblies.
Experience with software/computer-based test equipment.
Basic computer knowledge.
Adaptability to multitasking.
MUST be able to stand for up to 9 hours per day.
Good manual dexterity.
Ability to work weekends as needed.
Willingness to work night shifts as needed.
Effective communication.

Responsibilities

Follow work instructions for calibrating MWD tools and document progress on digital work order travelers.
Handle high-temperature equipment for calibrating MWD tools and thermal testing purposes.
Perform full calibration process.
Meet daily and weekly commitments.
Identify out-of-spec data when compared to internal standards.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Use job-related software and computer programs such as MS Office, MS Teams, SharePoint, Toolhub and Smartsheet.
Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement within the manufacturing, calibration, and testing areas of the company.
Communicate with other team members when experiencing work-related equipment, controls, or system issues that disrupt the manufacturing calibration or testing processes.
Ensure work-in-progress work orders are staged and organized efficiently in the work area.
Be cross-trained in other manufacturing processes such as functional and ring out testing, thermal testing, and Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS) testing.
