Requirements

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in calibration, metrology, or a related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of measurement science principles, including uncertainty and traceability.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment and instrumentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with calibration standards such as ISO/IEC 17025.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment (up to ~30–50 lbs).
  • Ability to work at benches, in labs, or in production environments for extended periods.
  • Ability to work independently, with understanding of when to seek guidance and adherence to the appropriate chain of command.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration of a wide range of measurement and test equipment, including electrical, mechanical, dimensional, and pressure instruments.
  • Apply metrology principles to ensure measurements meet accuracy, traceability, and uncertainty requirements.
  • Calibrate electronic devices such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, data acquisition systems, and other test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain calibration equipment and electronic instrumentation.
  • Document calibration results, maintain records, and generate calibration certificates in compliance with ISO or applicable standards.
  • Interpret technical specifications, schematics, and engineering drawings.
  • Perform periodic inspections and preventative maintenance on laboratory and production equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Support audits by providing calibration data and documentation.
  • Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
