About The Position

At Gables Engineering, (a HEICO Company), we've been engineering the avionics systems pilots trust since 1946. We are looking for a Calibration Technician I to calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and repair the measuring and test equipment our teams rely on every day. Requirements

• Associate degree in electronics or equivalent military/technical trade experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronic instrumentation repair/calibration
• Proven calibration, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair skills to the assembly/component level
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies with minimal training
• Good organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, with good manual dexterity and close-up vision for small parts

Nice To Haves

• Calibration experience in the avionics industry
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Responsibilities

• Test and calibrate controlling, indicating, and measuring instruments, including oscilloscopes, voltmeters and multimeters, signal sources, network/spectrum/signal analyzers, power supplies, and mechanical measuring instruments
• Calibrate industrial manufacturing equipment such as reflow ovens
• Troubleshoot and repair test and measurement equipment to the assembly/component level
• Record calibration results in our calibration database in accordance with established standards
• Maintain the production tool inventory
