About The Position

The purpose of the Calibration Technician is to perform precise calibrations and preventative and corrective maintenance on measuring and test equipment, instruments, tools, gauges, and fixtures. Sets up test equipment and conducts tests on performance and reliability of mechanical, structural, or electromechanical equipment. Develops calibration operating procedures and documentation for all instruments. Calibration Technicians will assist in troubleshooting systems, coordinating project work, and maintaining equipment functionality. Additionally, this role plays a key part in our reliability of equipment to ensure production operate safety, in compliance with quality requirements and, has limited downtime. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and data recording skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Technology, Mechatronics, Electrical, or related) or 3+ years of experience with equipment calibration
  • Proficiency with calibration tools
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
  • Strong understanding of calibration standards and processes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with analytical thinking
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Regularly maintain and inspect calibration equipment to ensure it operates correctly and meets industry standards.
  • Perform precise calibration testing on various instruments and equipment in manufacturing environments.
  • Provide compliant and validated technical solutions and perform necessary repairs or upgrades to ensure equipment functions properly.
  • Provide accurate solutions to avoid having overdue calibrations.
  • Contribute to the successful achievement of the safety, quality and production goals, and metrics through excellent technical support and problem solving.
  • Consistently develop your skills to become a subject matter expert on instrumentation and metrology.
  • Contribute to the deployment and integration of continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Manage monthly requests and project work.
  • Identify and resolve issues with equipment performance and carry out necessary repairs.
  • Document all calibration checks, repairs, and alterations utilizing CMMS and quality documentation programs.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
