About The Position

VaLogic Bio is hiring a Calibration Specialist to join a team that does meaningful work in one of the most critical industries in the world. You'll work directly in pharmaceutical and biotech environments, keeping the measurement and test equipment that supports drug manufacturing and laboratory operations operating at peak performance and in full regulatory compliance. Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or a related technical field.
  • Formal metrology training, including completion of a PMEL program or equivalent.
  • Relevant military or technical calibration training and experience.
  • 5 or more years of metrology and calibration experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or other regulated environments strongly preferred.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and genuinely good with people.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database applications.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel by car and commercial airline.
  • Basic computer skills including the use of Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word and database applications (data entry, not programming).
  • Strong competency in record keeping / organization, database maintenance, spreadsheets.
  • Ability to maintain excellence and accuracy in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Ongoing commitment to advance knowledge in the field of instrument calibration methods and providing excellent customer service.
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail and conscientiousness related to the quality of work.
  • Self directed and highly motivated.
  • Must work well in a team environment and must demonstrate excellent communication skills in the interaction with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Performing calibrations on dimensional, electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical measuring and test equipment (M&TE) using VaLogic procedures, industry standards, manufacturer specs, and client requirements.
  • Creating, maintaining, and executing calibration procedures for varied instrumentation.
  • Completing all calibration documentation and certification records in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Using diagnostic tools to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions in the field.
  • Serving as a technical resource during internal and external audits.
  • Collaborating with leadership to grow VaLogic Bio's internal calibration capabilities.
  • Delivering the kind of customer service that makes clients feel genuinely taken care of.
