This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function, a team focused on improving quality, processes, products, packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes. The Sr. Associate II, Instrumentation & Calibration Technical Support (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for installing, calibrating, testing, and repairing instruments that monitor environmental conditions in a manufacturing facility. You will be expected to apply advanced technical knowledge, solve problems innovatively, and lead efforts to design custom devices with engineers. This role is on-site in our Fort Worth, Texas location and a typical day would include: Perform highly specialized technical tasks and lead research initiatives to optimize project outcomes. Install, calibrate, test, and repair instruments and technologies that monitor environmental conditions, including control and measurement instruments on plant equipment. Inspect and test instruments like oscilloscopes, calipers, pressure gauges, and temperature controllers to diagnose faults and ensure quality standards, Work with engineers to design and build custom instrument and control devices. Ensure smooth and efficient operational processes, supporting team performance and operational efficiency. Adhere to GxP regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining accurate documentation. Ensure rigorous quality control, complete all required training, and commit to continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory requirementsAll associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training.
