About The Position
Calibration Physicist 1 is responsible for verification of proton treatment delivery and periodic quality assurance of proton beamlines and treatment devices. Performs other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Physics required from an accredited institution
- Handling and use of delicate instrumentation
- Effectively communicate regarding radiation measurements and calibration procedures
- Use of computer for input of data and operation of treatment machine
- Communicate effectively with coworkers to ensure task completion
- Request and accept guidance in task completion
- Work well within a group
- Manage multiple projects and meet strict timelines for patient treatments
- Reasoning and problem solving skills are essential
- Language skills included
Nice To Haves
- Some work in a physics laboratory or similar setting preferred
