About The Position

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As a part of our growing quality team, this role will partner with our calibration engineers to ensure the measurement & test equipment used to build space vehicles and rocket engines are calibrated and cycled on schedule.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in a calibration or instrumentation role.
  • 1+ years in a manufacturing or logistics organizational role.
  • 2 years using data organization tools (spreadsheets, databases, ect) to maintain, organize & track technical information.
  • Physical ability Lift 20lbs
  • Walk up 2 flights of stairs
  • Push cart with 100lbs of load

Nice To Haves

  • Military PMEL or Post-Secondary metrology training
  • Experience with industry calibration standards (ANSI NCSL Z540.3, ISO/IEC 17025)
  • Experience developing, operating and maintaining calibration systems & procedures
  • Experience in customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the On Site calibration schedule for both vendors and team technicians.
  • Execute calibrations of measurement & test equipment on the production floor and in a lab environment.
  • Assess calibration documentation provided by 3rd party vendors for compliance.
  • Manage procurement for vendor calibrations.
  • Maintain physical and digital organization of work to ensure efficiency in the calibration lab.
  • Utilize multiple data systems to determine and fulfill customer requirements
  • Maintain accuracy of calibrated item data & status.
