Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of measurement equipment, electronics, or calibration processes.
  • Ability to read technical procedures, schematics, and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • In compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, priority consideration is given to candidates who are INTERNAL (and recall) to the Pratt & Whitney IAM Bargaining Unit members of District Lodge 26 and Affiliated Locals 700 and 1746 (Connecticut Operations).
  • Previous experience in a calibration laboratory, manufacturing, or technical support environment.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong communication and customer support skills.
  • Technical certifications related to calibration, electronics, or instrumentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration, verification, and functional testing of mechanical, and measurement equipment in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
  • Maintain calibration records, certificates, and documentation to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs or adjustments as needed.
  • Use precision measurement tools and laboratory equipment to support production, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Ensure calibration schedules are met and support audits related to laboratory operations and quality systems.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve calibration processes and operational efficiency.
  • May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individuals' skills.
  • May be required to train for, obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits and certifications as required for assigned area.
