Spring Internship - Calibration (58101)
About The Position
Applied Technical Services, LLC is hiring a Calibration Intern for its Marietta, Georgia office. From January 2027 through April 2027, the intern will work with the Calibration team on customer projects, performing hands-on product calibration in the lab and gaining experience with calibration industry standards. The position pays $18.00 per hour and is full-time for the internship period. Applicants must be students majoring in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology. Because the role involves access to information subject to U.S. export controls under ITAR, only U.S. Persons will be considered.
Requirements
- Currently a student majoring in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Strong attention to detail and safety procedures.
- Basic math skills to work with high-accuracy machines.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work with a team.
- Must qualify as a U.S. Person under the stated ITAR access requirement.
Responsibilities
- Work with leaders, engineers, and technicians to conduct hands-on product calibrations in the lab.
- Calibrate items such as hand tools, multimeters, micrometers, torque wrenches, pressure gauges, length scales, temperature and humidity gauges, and dimensional tooling.
- Perform electrical tests.
- Learn and apply calibration industry standards.
