About The Position

This internship is an 8-month project within the Calibration Engineering group of Power Solutions at Bosch North America's headquarters in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The internship will take place from either January - August 2027, or May - December 2027. Calibration is the process of finding the perfect parameters to optimize engine and vehicle performance. The intern will support Powertrain Calibration Projects, including in-vehicle and engine/chassis dyno testing, data analysis, adaptation and programming of automated test scripts, and supporting daily activities of Calibration Engineers such as flashing vehicles, analyzing data, and validating software. The role also involves testing and validation of On-Board Diagnostics and supporting test trips in various environmental conditions (hot/cold/high altitude). Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university and pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, with at least one semester completed
  • Good electrical or mechanical engineering knowledge/background
  • Has worked on/with vehicles/engines
  • Python or C++ skills
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Must work 35-40 hours per week
  • Valid US driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive-related hobby and/or experience working with engines or vehicles.
  • 1+ year academic or industry experience with software languages and operating systems.
  • Simulink or Matlab experience
  • INCA, ECU Test

Responsibilities
