About The Position

A Diagnostic and ETRS Calibration Engineer plans and executes testing activities to develop and calibrate transmission diagnostic and Electronic Transmission Range Selection (ETRS) features, ensuring compliance with OBD regulations and alignment with system safety requirements. This role operates within a collaborative team environment while serving as a key contributor to all transmission controls programs. The Calibration Engineer, Transmission Diagnostic & ETRS is responsible for validating ETRS systems, diagnostic algorithms, and associated calibrations through a combination of test benches, dynamometers, vehicle testing, and system simulation methods. Additionally, this role involves developing, maintaining, and executing comprehensive test plans to ensure proper integration of diagnostic algorithms within transmission and vehicle embedded systems. Key deliverables include calibration guides, detailed test plans, thorough documentation of test results, production-released diagnostic calibrations, and certification documentation. Calibration engineers are engaged throughout the full product lifecycle—from early development and validation to product launch and post-production support. This position is well-suited for individuals who are innovative, detail-oriented, and passionate about emissions control systems and vehicle safety.
