About The Position
Summerhill Market is a Toronto boutique grocer known for scratch-made prepared foods, freshly baked treats, and on-trend ingredients. They are looking for upbeat, food-loving individuals who thrive in a team environment to join their Bakery team as a Cake Decorator at their Railside Commissary.
Requirements
- Experience in cake decorating, pastry, or bakery production required
- Strong piping, icing, and finishing skills with attention to detail
- Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and design guidelines
- Time management skills and ability to handle multiple orders
- Creative flair with an eye for design and presentation
- Team-oriented attitude and strong communication skills
Responsibilities
- Decorate cakes, cupcakes, and specialty desserts to meet production and custom order standards
- Prepare frostings, fillings, and other decorating materials with consistency and accuracy
- Maintain high visual presentation and quality standards across all products
- Collaborate with the bakery team to fulfill daily production schedules and seasonal displays
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards
- Assist with packaging, labeling, and inventory as required
