As a Cake Decorator, you will drive member service in your bakery area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. You will be responsible for planning bakery productions, ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of decorative designs, following recipe instructions, and working with various decorating tools to create decorative elements on bakery items. Adherence to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management are crucial. You will also operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment. Leveraging digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement is expected, utilizing hand-held technology for immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality. You will drive the performance of the bakery area, ensuring quality and date control standards, eliminating waste, and preparing for seasonal events. Identifying member needs, assisting members with purchasing decisions, and resolving member issues and concerns are key aspects of the role. You will also act as a brand advocate, modeling high-quality service and products, interacting with associates to understand roadblocks, and assisting in training, developing, influencing, and inspiring them. Compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity is required, as is completing work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources. You will collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, and carrying out tasks while communicating progress and information. You will also determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.
