About The Position

As a Cake Decorator, you will drive member service in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. This role involves planning bakery productions, ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of decorative designs, and working with various decorating tools to create designs on bakery items. You will also be responsible for adhering to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management. Additionally, you will operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment, and leverage digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience. You will also be responsible for identifying member needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, and resolving member issues. The role also includes being a brand advocate, modeling high-quality service, and assisting in training and mentoring other associates. You will comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, and complete work assignments by using policies, data, and resources. Embracing differences, creating a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected, and helping all associates thrive are key aspects of the role. You will also work as a team, build strong relationships, communicate with impact, and help develop and mentor others. Requirements

• 6 months' experience in fresh production area.
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with cross functional teams and helps educate other associates on tools tasks and resources
• Communicates and develops interpersonal skills for providing customer service
• Maintains instock levels and controlling shrinkage
• Plans the bakery productions ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of bakery decorative designs
• Follows recipe measurement instructions
• Works with a variety of products for example decorating bags tips nozzles to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items
• Ensures adherence to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management
• Operates, maintains, and sanitizes equipment
• Demonstrates understanding of product and layout execution
• Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement
• Utilizes hand held technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality with the member in mind
• Adapts to new tools and encouraging others to use them
• Drives the performance of the bakery area ensuring quality and date control standards
• Eliminates waste
• Prepares for seasonal events that impact the bakery volume for example holidays, graduations, family events
