About The Position

Primarily responsible and accountable for supervising the overall operations of the cage vault during the shift, under the direction of the Cage Manager. Ensure that all vault personnel adhere to policy and procedure. Maintains security and accountability of company funds. Interfaces with other Casino departments.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work professionally in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Good business judgment when performing all cash control operations.
  • Thorough knowledge of all Cage areas and cage equipment.
  • Ability to place qualified personnel in highly responsible positions.
  • Practice teamwork, create a positive work environment, greet fellow employees, and thank them when they lend assistance.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must have (5) five years of Prior experience working in a casino or gaming environment, preferably in a cage or cash-handling position.
  • Must obtain and maintain a State of Arizona Gaming Certification and a Fort McDowell Tribal Gaming License, with required fingerprinting.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and pass a complete background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising the overall operations of the cage vault during the shift.
  • Ensuring that all vault personnel adhere to policy and procedure.
  • Maintaining security and accountability of company funds.
  • Interfacing with other Casino departments.
  • Ensuring all reports and paperwork are sent to accounting on time.
  • Ensuring cage vault personnel adhere to policy and procedure.
  • Assisting the Cage Manager in interviewing prospective employees, assisting with the hiring process, and training Cage Personnel.
  • Assisting in personnel performance evaluations and in performing disciplinary counseling as needed.
  • Ensuring department compliance with Title 31 and Gaming Regulations.
  • Generating weekly schedules.
  • Ensuring all paid leave requests are completed accurately and that the shift has appropriate coverage.
  • Ensuring payroll is completed properly in the payroll system.
  • Evaluating and making suggestions to improve efficiency.
