About The Position

This role is responsible for inspecting cages for damage, wear, or safety hazards, and performing necessary repairs to ensure they are safe, functional, and compliant with Animal Welfare standards. The position requires adherence to safety requirements and policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• Must be self-motivated and work well alone.
• Must be able to weld, use cutting torch/plasma cutter and hand tools.
• Must be able to use a tape measure and square.
• Able to run a fork lift and climb a ladder.
• Physical stamina to lift, bend, and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect cages for damage, wear or safety hazards.
• Replace/repair any damage found.
• Ensure cages are safe, functional and compliant with Animal Welfare standards.
• Adhere to safety requirements and policies, including proper use of PPE.
