About The Position
As the Cage Cashier, you will pay out winning gaming machine tickets or chips and tokens to customers who present them. You will report to the Cage Supervisor, Shift Manager, or Cage Manager on duty. This role involves handling large sums of money and requires strict adherence to casino procedures for payouts and record-keeping.
Requirements
- Experience handling large volumes of cash
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Knowledge of high-volume cash handling policies
- Ability to apply basic math (arithmetic, ratios, proportions, or conversions)
Responsibilities
- Pay out winning gaming machine tickets, chips, and tokens to customers.
- Follow casino procedures exactly when handling large sums of money and processing payouts.
- Ensure all required paperwork is signed and included in shift packets for auditing.
- Verify customer signatures for payouts exceeding location-set amounts before payment.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding gaming procedures and payouts.
- Make change and exchange money, credit, tokens, and tickets at customer request.
- Verify customer identification when necessary.
- Verify the authenticity of tickets and payout requests.
- Maintain accurate records of monetary exchanges, authorization forms, and transaction reconciliations.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
