About The Position

The Cage Cashier is responsible for distributing money to gaming customers by redeeming coins and gaming vouchers, as well as cashing checks and providing cash advances on credit/debit cards, while providing fast and courteous service to each customer. The Cage Cashier will also greet all guests and Team Members in a friendly, open manner and conduct themselves in a positive and professional manner, acting as a role model for all Team Members. They will maintain knowledge of all current and upcoming promotions and events at Odawa Casino Resort. This role involves opening, maintaining, safeguarding, and closing a bank during an assigned shift. The Cage Cashier will make change for customers, exchange customer chips and gaming vouchers for cash, and cash checks and provide cash advances on credit/debit cards, all in accordance with Casino Cage Policy and applicable laws and regulations. The position requires adherence to Tribal, federal, state, and local laws, Tribal Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), and Cage policy and procedures. The role also includes attending meetings, completing required training, maintaining confidentiality, and potentially working at other properties as needed. System access includes Check Cashing Vendor, Slot Accounting System, Key Tracking System, Synkros, and Kiosk Systems. The Cage Cashier is expected to uphold the Odawa Casino Mission statement: 'We create excitement and memories.'

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Must read, write and speak English fluently.
Must have basic math skills.
Must be flexible with shifts and days off with the ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and special events, etc., as needed.
May be required to pass a skills assessment test to determine if the minimum qualifications of the position can be met.
Exposure to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment is required.
Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission, and be able to serve in the position under any other applicable law.

Adheres to Cage policy and procedures.
Attends all meetings as required.
Completes all required training satisfactorily.
Maintains the highest level of confidentiality at all times.
Works at other properties as needed.
Performs all other duties as assigned, within the scope of the position.
