About The Position

A Cashier provides cashier services to casino customers and employees in accordance with Colorado Limited Gaming Regulations and Double Eagle Resorts policy and procedures. This role involves handling various financial transactions, supporting casino operations, assisting casino staff, managing cage operations, and ensuring compliance with gaming and company policies.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of casino operations, and gaming rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience receiving, securing, handling, counting and reconciling, and distributing large sums of money quickly and accurately.
  • Demonstrated effective and diplomatic customer service and communication skills, which include contacts with employees and customers.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) or more years of recent and related experience as a cashier, preferably within a gaming environment.
  • Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Operation of a 10-key calculator and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide cashier services to customers including change for slot machines and table games, cashing TITO tickets, converting coin to cash, consolidating or breaking cash, converting gaming tokens to cash, converting table game chips to cash, cashing promotional coupons, cashing VIP vouchers, and cashing checks.
  • Support casino operations by paying jackpots, fulfilling requests for slot machine and table game fills, issuing promotional funds, counting and verifying money from machine and table drops, kiosk fills, and paying customer service requests.
  • Support casino staff by issuing and receiving keys, issuing and receiving banks, providing currency for machine testing, receiving departmental tips and revenue, consolidating individual tips, and performing other duties as assigned by the Cage Manager.
  • Complete duties required for cage operation, including preparation of deposits, counting currency, strapping cash, wrapping coin, verifying cage and imprest bank inventories, preparing change banks, completing daily revenue summaries and accounting forms, and any other procedure necessary for department operation.
  • Perform responsibilities in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act.
  • Perform responsibilities in compliance with the policies and procedures of Double Eagle Resorts, Inc.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and perform duties in compliance with safety procedures.
  • Demonstrate effective working relationships and customer service skills with customers, co-workers, and managers.
  • Maintain alertness and general awareness of casino operations at all times.
  • Keep Management informed of any concerns.
  • Ensure no person under the age of twenty-one (21) is consuming alcoholic beverages, gambling, lingering in a gaming area, or sitting in a gaming area.
  • Ask for identification from anyone who appears to be under thirty-five (35) years of age.
  • Attend annual retraining on Underage Gambling, Alcohol, and checking of IDs.
