This role is responsible for promoting and providing excellent guest service experiences, verifying funds, and performing various duties related to cash handling and vault operations. The Cage Cashier must comply with all enterprise and departmental policies, procedures, and regulations, including strict key control, safety regulations, and cash handling protocols. A significant portion of the tasks involve using computing and electronic equipment and various computer applications. The position requires accurate transaction handling, maintaining accountability of all transactions, and managing overages and shortages. Specific duties include counting down banks, performing vault operations such as issuing and returning banks, verifying cash and chips, preparing tip tax deposits, performing cash strap verifications, conducting cash-on-hand verifications, data input, safeguarding the casino bankroll, conducting mobile cart/pouch issuance and returns, preparing daily bank deposits, receiving and verifying bank shipments, securing unclaimed items, maintaining currency/coin levels, verifying cashier paperwork, filling gaming and jackpot kiosk cassettes, and receiving/dispersing tournament entry fees. The role also requires knowledge of identifying counterfeit currency, fraudulent checks, fake identification, and credit card fraud, as well as attending trainings and meetings. Maintaining confidentiality of casino information and safeguarding casino assets are crucial. The position emphasizes maintaining an effective, efficient, safe, and clean work environment, with a strong focus on dependable work attendance.
