About The Position

The Cage Cashier is responsible for completing transactions of selling and buying chips from customers. This role involves assisting customers with their 'player's bank' transactions, cashing out customers, and completing necessary paperwork for Title 31 compliance. The position requires a high level of attention to detail, especially regarding counterfeit currency, and maintaining a friendly and courteous demeanor with all guests. The role operates in a 24-hour, fast-paced adult-oriented environment with moderate to loud noise levels.

Requirements

Ability to obtain and maintain a Gardena Police Department Work Permit.
Minimum of one-year cash handling experience.
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and management.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must have the ability to safely lift a minimum of 20 pounds up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to concentrate in an intense, fast-paced environment with numerous distractions.
Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

Banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Sell and redeem chips for players, Dealers, Runners and floor personnel.
Issue Dealer Banks.
Issue Restaurant and Deli/Snack Bar Cashiers banks.
Assist customers in the transactions of their "player’s bank."
Cash out customers.
Complete customer credit checks.
Complete MTLs and CTRCs when transactions require paperwork for Title 31 compliance.
Be aware of any counterfeit currency, and report this to the Manager immediately.
Acknowledge and greet customers and guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
Perform all other work-related duties as assigned by the Casino Cage Manager.
