The Cafeteria Food Technician is responsible for preparing food using standardized recipes and proper techniques, ensuring food quality and timely preparation. This role involves maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, practicing regular equipment maintenance, and proper storage of deliveries. The technician will serve correct food portions, monitor food temperatures, and accurately document food usage. Record keeping, including food and equipment temperatures, is also a key responsibility. The position requires receiving and storing deliveries, fostering a harmonious team environment by assisting coworkers, and reporting or correcting unsafe work conditions. Positive and professional interaction with students, faculty, administration, and others regarding the Child Nutrition Program (CNP) is expected. The role may also involve driving a company vehicle and performing other assigned duties.
