Meriwether Godsey is looking for a Part-time Cafeteria/Food Service Worker at a private men's college located in Farmville, VA. The role requires availability on Tuesdays-Fridays from 4pm-8pm and Saturdays from 10am-8pm. Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Excellent communication and good organizational skills
Flexibility: ability to switch between job duties
Reliable Transportation

Nice To Haves

2-3 years related food service and/or cafeteria experience preferred.
ServSafe Food Handler Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers with a positive and friendly attitude
Operate registers, scanners, scales, and credit card/debit card terminals while handling exchanges in a quick, efficient manner
Transport food and supplies to cafeteria area: assist in the set-up, maintenance, and breakdown of the cafeteria, food serving, and beverage areas.
Serve and replenish food from food counters and steam tables.
Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods and properly store food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage.
Keep cafeteria areas and assigned kitchen areas neat and organized
Clean and sanitize work areas, dining tables, chairs, and equipment throughout and after meal periods
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of other kitchen areas by following daily and weekly cleaning assignments
Inspect workstations for compliance with service standards.
Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments.
