About The Position

This role involves serving employee meals, preparing food items such as vegetables, starches, and meats, and developing culinary skills, speed, cleanliness, and organizational skills. The position requires maintaining the employee cafeteria service area in a sanitized and organized fashion, serving food products to employees, and washing, peeling, and cutting fruits and vegetables, as well as preparing meats and fish for cooking. The attendant will support skilled positions by following instructions and regulations, minimizing waste, and adhering to proper sanitation practices. The role also includes ensuring perishable products are used or dealt with within their shelf life and leaving the work area cleaned and sanitized at the end of each shift. Punctuality and adherence to grooming and uniform standards are essential. The position requires following safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment and working flexible hours, including weekends and extended eight-hour days, according to business demands. The attendant must also carry out the policies and procedures of Stonewall Resort and Benchmark Hospitality Group while maintaining professionalism and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate with supervisors and peers
  • Must be of legal age to operate kitchen machinery
  • Must be able to complete 90 day review and training procedures
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. to waist level from floor to retrieve food product
  • Must be able to work standing on feet for 8-10 hours
  • Must be able to reach a height of 6’ for cooking utensils
  • Must be able to work in an environment which includes drastic temperature changes from 0 degrees to 110 degrees
  • Must be able to work with and around potentially dangerous equipment such as deep fryers, ovens, steamers, mixers, grinders, sheeters, slicers, etc.
  • Must be able to work under fluorescent lighting
  • Hair must be restrained
  • No jewelry allowed
  • Must wear black, non-skid type shoes provided by you

  • Check station every day to ensure perishable products are used or dealt during shelf life
  • Learn and be able to use products to their full potential, minimizing waste
  • Maintain proper sanitation practices per health department regulations
  • Leave work area cleaned and sanitized at end of each shift
  • Be at station in uniform ready to work at the time shift starts
  • Comply with grooming standards as outlined in Employee Handbook and training manual for kitchen employees
  • Wear proper uniform as provided at all times
  • Wear black, non-skid type shoes provided by you
  • Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Works flexible hours, weekends and extended eight (8) hour days, according to business demands
  • Carry out the policies and procedures of Stonewall Resort and Benchmark Hospitality Group while maintaining the highest degree of professionalism and teamwork atmosphere as per standards of service
  • Provide assistance in other job classifications as determined necessary by immediate superior
