About The Position
Serves Café guests and operates point of sale system. Prepares food. Performs a variety of sanitation and food service duties in accordance with safety, sanitation and service standards.
Requirements
- Customer service experience.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations.
Nice To Haves
- High School Graduate
- Food service and point of sale (cashier) experience.
- Clay County Food Handler permit or ServSafe certification within 30 days.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a safe, sanitary work environment conforming to policies and regulations
- Operates and maintains food service equipment
- Stores, labels and dates food items; uses the First In, First Out (FIFO) methodology
- Operates point of sale system
- Prepares menu items for Café guests and catering events following standardized recipes and food production schedules
- Serves menu items for patients, Café guests and catering events utilizing correct servicing utensil and serving size
- Sets up and stocks service areas
- Follows HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point) principles for time and temperature; records per policy
- Records and maintains accurate food production and leftover/waste records
- Prepares pot/pan area and pot/pan washer prior to use; scrapes, soaks, washes, sanitizes and put puts/pan away following established procedures
- Removes trash, boxes and other waste from the department
- Cleans throughout the department including but not limited to surfaces, equipment, carts, walls, and floors
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
