About The Position

The Cafe Manager oversees all operations, staff, and volunteer teams for the ONE&ALL Cafe Ministry across multiple campuses. This role beautifully bridges business operations with pastoral ministry, ensuring the cafe delivers both high-quality service and an environment of radical, authentic hospitality that aligns with the mission of ONE&ALL Church.

Requirements

  • A deep, visible commitment to Jesus Christ and a passion for discipleship and church ministry.
  • Proven work experience as a restaurant/cafe manager and proficient barista skills.
  • Hands-on experience operating and maintaining commercial espresso machines.
  • Valid Food Service Manager Certification (or ability to obtain quickly).
  • Flexible schedule with mandatory availability for weekend services, mornings, and holidays.
  • Warm, amiable temperament with a natural ability to connect with strangers; excellent communication skills to motivate a diverse team of staff and volunteers.
  • Strong mathematical, administrative, and multitasking abilities; able to remain calm and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience managing a multi-site or church-based cafe ministry.
  • Advanced knowledge of inventory management and budgeting software.
  • Experience training and mobilizing large volunteer teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide spiritual leadership, intentional discipleship, and pastoral care to staff and volunteer team members.
  • Cultivate a healthy team culture by hosting intentional monthly 1:1s with staff and bi-annual check-ins with volunteer team members.
  • Plan team-bonding events and facilitate quarterly training sessions to equip, inspire, and unite the team.
  • Foster an environment of radical, authentic hospitality and excellent customer service for every guest.
  • Ensure strict continuity in culture, guest service, operational procedures, and food/beverage quality between campuses.
  • Act as the hands-on leader on Sundays (picking up donuts, opening the cafe, leading team huddles, and filling service roles) and support the floor during weekday rushes.
  • Oversee scheduling, timecards, ordering, invoices, budgets, and organizational procedures to ensure financial health.
  • Maintain strict adherence to health and safety standards across all cafe locations.
  • Oversee the creation, implementation, and weekly prep work for all food and beverage menu items.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for hospitality needs across other church ministries.
  • Plan and execute monthly catered meals for all-staff meetings.
  • Collaborate with other ministry leads on events and actively identify strategic opportunities to grow both the business and ministry impact of the cafe.
  • Continue to grow as a follower of Christ, ensuring your ministry leadership overflows from your personal relationship with Him.
  • Faithfully tithe and give to the Lord through ONE&ALL Church consistently and sacrificially.
  • Live out the ONE&ALL Staff Values, attend a campus service regularly, and actively serve during major church events.
  • Maintain required on-campus hours and attend weekly campus and monthly staff meetings.
  • Monitor HR and financial policy compliance for the cafe ministry; approve non-exempt timecards, manage Paycor time-off requests, and conduct bi-annual performance evaluations.
