About The Position

Mark Miller Subaru is currently looking for a Café Manager to oversee our café operations at both Mark Miller Subaru Midtown & South Towne, ensuring that the needs of our guests in the service waiting area are taken care of.

Requirements

  • Management experience in the hospitality industry is preferred
  • Self-motivated and enjoys working on a team.
  • Friendly & outgoing, and willing to jump into any situation and create an exceptional experience.
  • Food handlers permit required.
  • The job requires someone with the physical ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds as necessary and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Café
  • Lead & motivate a team of approximately five Café Attendants to ensure our customers are receiving excellent customer service.
  • Assist with interviewing/hiring new employees when necessary
  • Train all new employees with an emphasis on providing a ‘home away from home’ feeling for waiting service customers.
  • Coordinate with vendors and order/pick-up supplies as needed, ensuring proper utilization of resources
  • Ensure opening and closing duties are being performed each day, including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment, etc.
  • Take and input orders into the cash register system and collect payments from customers
  • Assist with preparing food and coffee beverages in a timely manner
  • Count till, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, turn in receipts, and secure bank deposits
  • Ensure customers in the service waiting area are being checked in on and offered beverages throughout the day.
  • Step in to assist with any upset customers
  • Order cake/lunch supplies for internal parties and employee anniversaries
