About The Position

We are seeking motivated cafe workers to join our team at Nakoma Golf Club’s pool facility. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Responsibilities include preparing menu items via flat top grill, pizza over, fryer, and sandwich station. Additional responsibilities include opening and closing the kitchen line, stocking, and communicating ordering needs to the clubhouse staff. Weekend and holiday availability are required to be considered for this position. Applicants whose availability extends to Labor Day will be given priority in hiring. We expect staff to work 4-5 shifts per week during the season. The pool facility is open seven days a week, weather permitting. Please note that hours may be cut on short notice due to low pool attendance or poor weather conditions. Previous kitchen experience is a plus, but not required. A willingness to learn, take initiative, and ask questions is extremely important. Prior experience in Country Clubs is helpful but not necessary. Please indicate if you have had any relevant management or supervisor experience. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, able to multitask during busy pool hours, and maintain strong attention to detail. Cafe workers are expected to follow safe food handling procedures, keep work areas clean and organized, , and assist with opening and closing duties. Staff may also assist with basic event setup when needed. Candidates must be 18 years of age or older at the start of the season due to responsibilities that involve the handling and service of kitchen equipment and alcoholic beverages.
