This role involves completing work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback. Associates will leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement, utilizing hand-held technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, ordering merchandise, receiving club pick up orders, training, and product quality with the member in mind. Associates will maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise, collaborate with cross-functional teams, help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, and communicate effectively with team members. They will drive the performance of the area by stocking and rotating merchandise, ensuring quality and date control standards, eliminating waste, and providing member service by acknowledging the member, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, payment types, locating merchandise, and resolving member issues and concerns. Associates will prepare food according to item specifications, understand and plan future productions and mass productions, prepare for seasonality, adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management, and operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment. They will also comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices. Additionally, associates will act as brand advocates, developing, influencing, and inspiring others in a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented style, understanding roadblocks and assisting in training. The role emphasizes product knowledge, stocking merchandise, food preparation, and customer complaint resolution. Associates are expected to embrace differences, create a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected, and help attract the best talent.
