About The Position

Scheels is seeking a part-time Cafe Associate to join their team. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of food and drink items, including baked goods, fudge, and barista beverages. The associate will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety guidelines, and providing excellent customer service. This position offers an average of 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling requirements.

Requirements

High school education, or up to one month of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 9a.m. and 9:30p.m., (must have weekday morning availability) Monday through Saturday, 10a.m. and 6p.m., Sunday.
Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, must be available minimum of every other weekend or 2 weekends a month.

Responsibilities

Prepare different types of food, drinks, and ingredients, including candy, baked goods, and fudge, for sale to customers.
Perform all Barista, Café, and Fuzziwigs Candy Shop functions, which may include deli line, food case, barista, grill, ice cream, baked goods, fudge, and other duties as assigned by the Café Manager and Supervisor.
Maintain working knowledge of Café recipes, beverages, and prepared foods.
Meet deadlines for fudge production and customer requests.
Follow all food safety guidelines by Scheels, State, and Local Ordinances.
Ensure all products are received and stored according to Standard Operating Guidelines.
Ensure Scheels Cashier Guidelines are followed as it pertains to Café registers.
Manage and support side work, stocking, daily and detailed cleaning schedules, including machines and equipment, and opening and closing procedures.
Maintain an orderly and exceptionally clean appearance of personal workspace and surrounding areas, including dining areas.
Must be able to perform repetitive fudge production processes, which include stirring, pulling, and cutting.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of the organization.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
Ability to work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
