About The Position
Blossoming Lotus Café & Juice Bar is a small, yet mighty café rooted in plant-based, “Food as Medicine” principles. Our space is dynamic, team-driven, and focused on delivering nourishing food quickly and consistently. We’re looking for a reliable, upbeat team member that would thrive in a busy environment, enjoy staying active, and take pride in both quality and speed. You’ll move between front-of-house and back-of-house responsibilities—taking orders, preparing food and beverages, and keeping the space clean, organized, and welcoming. This role is perfect for someone who brings positive energy to every shift, works well under pressure and stays organized when it’s busy, genuinely cares about plant-based food and wellness, and enjoys being part of a tight-knit, hardworking team. Please do not apply if you’re looking for a slow-paced or purely customer service role - this position requires hustle, focus, and teamwork. When we’re not busy, there’s always things to do!
Requirements
- 2–5 years of food service, café, or kitchen experience
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining speed
- Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented
- Passion for plant-based food and wellness (this matters here)
- Basic computer/POS familiarity
Nice To Haves
- Line experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Greet customers with warmth, confidence, and efficiency
- Take accurate orders (in-person, phone, and delivery platforms)
- Keep service moving smoothly during busy rushes
- Build positive relationships with regulars and new guests alike
- Prepare juices, smoothies, bowls, salads, and grab-and-go items
- Assist with light cooking, heating, and plating (line experience a plus)
- Maintain consistency in portioning, presentation, and quality
- Step into different roles as needed to support the team during peak times
- Maintain a clean, organized front counter, kitchen, and dining area
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, and restock as needed
- Execute opening and closing procedures reliably
- Work collaboratively in a small, high-functioning team
- Stay aware, communicate clearly, and jump in where needed
- Take ownership of your role and follow through on responsibilities
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and efficient work environment
