About The Position
The City of Ocean City is seeking a reliable and motivated café associate to join our team. The role involves assisting with daily café operations, including food preparation, customer service, and opening and closing duties. The ideal candidate is friendly, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekend and holidays
- Comfortable using basic kitchen equipment (training provided if needed)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask and stay clean and organized in a busy environment
Nice To Haves
- Previous food/customer service experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Open and close the café following established procedures.
- Prepare and serve food items, including sandwiches, salads, and smoothies.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as a panini press safely and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
- Take customer orders and handle cash/card transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café, including food prep areas and dining space.
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
