About The Position

The Caddie provides all participating members and their guests with a premiere “Discovery” private club caddie experience. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees. Nestled between Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and the Las Vegas Strip, The Summit Club is Las Vegas’ only fully private residential golf and lifestyle club community. This private community spans 555 acres and offers 262 residences; a world-class Tom Fazio-designed golf course and practice facility; wellness and recreation programming; as well as a 70,000 square foot clubhouse boasting a state-of-the-art gaming and viewing room and numerous dining experiences. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience as a Golf Caddie at a private golf club or higher end resort, preferred.
Excellent knowledge of golf etiquette, rules, and course management.
Understanding of different turf grass and course conditions.
Physical fitness and the ability to carry a golf bag for extended periods.
Professional demeanor and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Knowledge of local flora, fauna, and wildlife a plus.
Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, assisting them with inquiries, tee times, and general information about the golf resort.
Manage the golf bag drop area, greeting guests upon arrival, and efficiently handling golf bags, ensuring they are stored securely.
Assist golfers with equipment rental, including clubs, carts, and other accessories, ensuring they are properly fitted and in good condition.
Offer accurate information about the course layout, distances, hazards, and local rules to assist golfers in making informed decisions during their round.
Provide insightful advice on club selection, shot strategy, and green reading to help golfers improve their performance.
Monitor pace of play on the course and provide gentle reminders to groups to keep play moving smoothly.
Attend to golfer's needs by offering water, towels, and other amenities as required, ensuring their comfort throughout the round.
Assist with the upkeep of the golf course, including divot repair, ball mark repair, raking bunkers, and general maintenance tasks as assigned.
Ensure the safety of members and guests by enforcing golf course rules and regulations, particularly related to cart usage and behavior on the course.
Coordinate with other staff members, including starters, rangers, and maintenance personnel, to ensure efficient operation of the golf facilities.
Participate in training sessions and ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge of golf operations and customer service skills.
Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall operation of the golf resort.
