As a CADD Technician II, you will be responsible for the production of CAD drawings from sketches, hardline drawings, other electronic formats, and “red line drawings.” This role involves daily processing of survey data, including checking for accuracy and completeness, performing deed research and deed plotting, and preparing legal descriptions, survey drawings, and plats. You will also review construction plans and prepare files to aid the field crew with layout, organize and manage multiple project assignments, and provide technical office support. Ensuring the accuracy of reports by data review and resolving discrepancies internally for assigned projects is crucial. The position requires the ability to plan, prioritize, and organize effectively, communicate effectively and professionally with all staff and clients, and manage daily workload with minimum supervision to meet deadlines. You will be responsible for collecting, organizing, disseminating, and analyzing significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy, and finalizing CAD files and project folders for archiving. The role includes preparing computer-generated survey drawings according to company standards and procedures, processing field data, integrating it into CAD files, and plotting drawings to the appropriate scale. Basic calculations for field drawings, reviewing and comparing field notes to final maps, and making corrections after quality control checks are also key responsibilities. You may revise or change survey drawings, trace or copy existing drawings, and complete simple calculations with specific instructions. Light office duties such as filing, making copies, and scanning may also be required, along with other duties as assigned by management.
