About The Position

The CADD Lead provides subject matter expertise and technical knowledge to support drafting workflows for BGIS Professional Services. Primarily involved in creation of net-new draft product from LiDAR and other reality-capture data, along with transposition of existing CAD assets to client- and program-specific standards and formats. Experience with architectural drawings and building models is essential. The role involves collaboration with various clients and workstreams to develop custom specifications, as well as responsibility for the production pipeline delivering those outputs.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of job related experience
  • Significant expertise in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experience in CAD feature extraction from LiDAR and point cloud data
  • Demonstrated creativity and problem-solving abilities in a technical production context
  • Strong comprehension of industry standards, details and specifications
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective interpersonal skills, especially communication (verbal / written)
  • Familiarity with scripting/automation processes for Autodesk environments
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of project management principles
  • Ability to work with CAFM

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Leica Geosystems software suite an asset
  • Survey, geomatics, and/or GIS experience an asset
  • Bilingualism (FR/EN) an asset

Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of production process for generating architectural floorplans, furniture plans, reflected ceiling plans, BIM models, MEP drawings, and other deliverables.
  • Work to meet project commitments and constraints related to schedule, cost, quality, and coordination.
  • Continuous product enhancement and development, leveraging new and emerging technologies to diminish the gap between real-world conditions and systems of record.
  • Responsible for managing data pipeline from field survey inputs to completed drawing outputs, inclusive of archiving and delivery.
  • Provide review and feedback on quality of field data capture and methodology.
  • Mentorship, training, and supervision of junior staff.
  • Follow and enhance existing company standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
