About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a CADD Drafter/Designer in Cincinnati, OH to support the roadway design team. Working within our Architecture & Design teams, you will assist to develop design solutions that meet or exceed client expectations and ensure compliance with national or local standards and codes of practice. The role sits within our mobility business area, where we partner with clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization, and digitization trends are requiring today’s mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world’s growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.

Requirements

2 years of CAD Design experience required or Associates degree in Design/Drafting, a closely related field of study or a HS Diploma with equivalent years’ experience and continuing education coursework.
Technically capable with experience maintaining the quality and consistency of CAD (i.e., designs, record drawings, symbology, connectivity, and annotation).

Responsibilities

Develop engineering drawings.
Prepare designs from general instruction and/or preliminary sketches, diagrams, or schematics.
Coordinate CAD projects with other discipline personnel.
Prepare/assemble project deliverables.
Plan and prepare preliminary layouts and detailed design drawings from general written or verbal specifications from the project team, sketches and/or other drawings.
Prepare plan, section and detail to create preliminary figures and drawings.
Understand the life cycle of the project and manage personal workload on projects from start to finish.
Follow discipline-specific, client specific and/or company CAD standards.
Produce drawings on schedule with quality and clarity.
Work closely with other Drafters/Designers and Engineers to ensure a coordinated design.
