About The Position

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI), a leading power engineering consultant firm, is seeking a motivated individual to join our Oklahoma City, OK office as a drafter. Under general supervision, the successful candidate will utilize computer-aided drafting and other compatible software tools to support engineering and drafting projects with a goal to develop sub-professional work knowledge and abilities by executing drafter assignments under the supervision of an experienced project engineer or project manager.

Requirements

College degree in an acceptable curriculum or two-year technical certificate in computer-aided drafting/design, or a minimum of two years concentrated on the job experience in computer-aided drafting/design field.
Proven effective verbal and written communication skills.
Proven excellent level of interpersonal skills.
Ability to work individually and on a team.
Detailed oriented.
Possess a high level of organizational skills.
Proven ability to work with confidential information.
Proven ability to exercise independent judgment.

Occasional travel/driving may be required.
Successful applicant is subject to ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements.

Responsibilities

Performing drafting work manually or by use of a computer requiring knowledge and skills in drafting methods, procedures and techniques.
Using a recognized system of symbols, legends, shadings, lines and layering in accordance with ECI Drafting Standards.
Preparing as-built drawings from red-line copies.
Preparing error-free revisions of preexisting CADD files.
Performing a variety of assignments which may include drawing reproduction, handling material supplies and other similar work.
