CADC Counselor Intern (BCR)
About The Position
Behavioral Crossroads Recovery is seeking a full-time Counselor Intern to join their team. This paid position reports to the Regional Clinical Director and is an integral part of the treatment team, responsible for providing clinical services to clients. The role involves maintaining client accountability as per funding source and agency policy. Responsibilities include conducting intakes, performing risk/needs assessments, developing service plans for assigned caseloads, and implementing these plans with review and approval from the Treatment Team and/or Regional Clinical Director.
Requirements
- CADC or working towards CADC.
- Basic computer skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact appropriately with clientele.
- Working with addictive behaviors.
- A basic understanding of human behavior.
- Utilizing group dynamics to address special needs populations.
- Skilled in assessment and evaluation.
- Demonstrated competencies in training, group interaction, and mentoring.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year experience preferred.
- NJ SAMS experience also preferred.
- Knowledge of social learning theory, cognitive-behavioral intervention and approaches is preferable.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
Responsibilities
