Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
3–5 years of CAD experience (AutoCAD strongly preferred)
Experience working with low voltage systems, including: Telecommunications infrastructure, Security systems (CCTV, access control), Life safety systems
Strong understanding of technical drawings, layouts, and design standards
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

Associate’s Degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field
Experience with OSP (Outside Plant) or telecom design
Familiarity with structured cabling systems and network infrastructure

Responsibilities

Review and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards
Create and modify detailed CAD drawings for telecom, security, and low-voltage systems (CCTV, access control, etc.)
Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and design teams to resolve discrepancies and improve design quality
Translate rough concepts and redlines into fully developed CAD documents
Ensure all drawings align with project requirements, codes, and standards
Work independently within established processes while maintaining high attention to detail
Support design updates and revisions throughout project lifecycles
