About The Position

Our Terre Haute site is responsible for a diverse product mix supplying structural components and cores for both military and commercial engines. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment; follow all safety and EHS policies and procedures.
  • Follow all GE and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience using CAD software to create, revise, and maintain technical drawings.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Working knowledge of drafting principles, revision control, and document management processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in technical documentation.
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and respond to shifting priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Cooperative in meeting schedules; demonstrate a teamwork attitude toward others in the department and facility.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
  • Must be able to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status.

Responsibilities

  • Gather prints and other information from Document Control.
  • Revise and recreate existing drawings using current forms and standards.
  • Add balloon numbers to customer blueprints for check sheet correlation.
  • Assist with the coordination of drawing requests.
  • Create and maintain master drawings.
  • Verify accuracy of drawings and associated documentation.
  • Review blueprints for revisions and communicate revisions to engineers.
  • Modify existing CAD files with supporting documentation.
  • Create complex details and large mechanical assembly drawings.
  • Model 3-D drawings of components and assemblies.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of an Entry Level and Intermediate Level CAD Technician; may be required to perform applicable duties within the team/cell/department with minimal supervision (Advanced expectation).
