CAD Technician - Survey

About The Position

POSITION OVERVIEW: As a CAD Technician at LJA Surveying, you will be responsible for drafting support for assigned projects independently with working knowledge of engineering technology in a specific field.

Requirements

5-10 years of survey experience
CADD experience is required
Civil 3D
Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
Attention to detail, organized
Strong communication skills both oral and written
Ability to work well in a team-focused environment
Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or daily as changes occur in project need

Nice To Haves

Trimble Business Center experience preferred

Responsibilities

Process conventional field notes and digitally collected data, analyze field data, and interact with survey field crews.
Use survey data for the creation of survey plats, Sketches, and exhibits including surveys for builder services (vacant, form board, foundation, and final surveys)
Create Survey Control Data Sheets, Survey Control Index Sheets, Horizontal & Vertical Control Sheets
Compute data points for construction layout
Understand technical survey requirements and specifications of the State of Florida standards of practice
Write/check Metes & Bounds Descriptions
